2002-11-29 Nobody else but me here at work today, post-thanksgiving day. Just me and the computers, all making that humming sound. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. It's really deserted. I'd leave also but I have to make a copy of some software that's sitting on a server in London. And it's taking forever. I think I'm going to turn the lights down low, walk around turning every radio and boombox on people's desks up real loud to the same song, and flick the secret switch behind the coffee maker to lower the disco ball. And lean back in my chair and watch the pretty lights go around and round. previous next |
