2002-10-16 What would you do if your boyfriend killed himself? That's right, go to Ibiza! I saw Morvern Callar tonight and liked it quite a lot. It was directed by Lynne Ramsay who did Ratcatcher(heartbreaking), and it was, like a lot of the movies I've seen and liked at the festival, more about supplying incredible images, sound and characters for me to remember instead of some clever plot. And Samantha Morton has one of those ROLES OF A LIFETIME deals. The movie, actor wise, is pretty much all her and she's from the Emily Watson school; Beautiful with a hint of weird in her face. Yah, she got beat bad by the Interesting Stick. Oh and the soundtrack features a ton of CAN so of course how could it not be good? previous next |
