The wings of the plane I'm on will be shaped so that the bottom is straight and the top is curved. So the air on the top, because of the curve, spreads out along more surface, the bottom less. So with less pressure on the top and more on the bottom, this creates "lift force" and enables my plane to fly high above greed, scrabble players, bars, You, and maybe Margaret Atwood. I'll be up there in the sky eating salted almonds, listening to This Night by Destroyer, and thinking about the usual things I obsess about down on the ground, but with much less leg room, flung across this wide world.
