Pam got me the book Fraud by David Rakoff. I've been reading it on the train and it's maybe the best book I've read this year. He's a frequent This American Life contributer and some of the essays/stories are from the show but he's such a good writer that I didn't mind. Not only is he really funny, he's really smart. The type not to use the word "really" twice in a sentence like I just did. Kind of like David Sedaris (I'm pretty sure they are friends and he is in the Book of Liz as an actor) meets Nicholson Baker. He ranks up there for me with those two and Calvin Trillin and David Foster Wallace as an essayist, not to mention humorist. I wish this book was longer cause I'm almost done.
